BRAVE Community is a program of Care Connect that serves youth in the state
of Florida and/or school staff in the counties we currently serve who
are in need of telehealth counseling services. BRAVE traditionally has
served students in need of mental health services referred by a public
school district in navigating resources. However, a gap was identified
for students who attend virtual or other alternative forms of education
services in the state and who also could benefit from navigating therapeutic
services. These students who reside in the state of Florida can access
telehealth services by utilizing BRAVE Community. A self-referral can
be made by a parent or guardian by
clicking here and a member of our team will reach out within 48 business hours to assist
in identifying and connecting the youth to a virtual service provider.
12 sessions of this service will be provided to the youth free of charge,
and a BRAVE Community Health Associate will continue contact for up to
4 of these sessions to ensure the youth is engaged and services are going
well. BRAVE Community expands the population of youth the program is able
to serve as well as address the cost barrier to care.
